Hemlock

Coming, Fall 2010!

Hemlock is a novel that is not only unusually raw, especially for Christian literature, but which is also delivered in a unique manner. Hemlock is a novel that combines free verse poetry and first person narrative in a spontaneous non-revisionist style that will speak to those who are either exploring liberal Christianity or recovering from it. It was written for an emerging generation of Christians who find themselves in a post-modern culture of theological promiscuity and the trendy embracement of all that is, unorthodox, subterranean, and artistically veiled. This is intentional as this is the vehicle that most appeals to the popular culture’s post-modern mind.

The book is loosely based on the spontaneous prose style made famous by Jack Kerouac. Jack is known for, among other things, his non-revisionist, free-form writing style. It  is poetic, taking its place among the free-form ranks. It is also written in a kickwriting sort of way restricting the editing process so that my original thoughts remain, un-adapted.

Hemlock is its own means of countering the abundance of false teaching in the Church today, but it is also a fundraiser to support Pirate Christian Radio.  The Special Pirate Christian Radio Preview of Hemlock will be released May, 2010!

Why should you buy a copy of the Hemlock PCR preview? Simple. It is a method of supporting your favorite Christian internet radio station, Pirate Christian Radio! The preview was conceived specifically to help raise funds for PCR. It does that two ways. First, through the profits of the preview, and secondly, by raising awareness for the full length novel which comes out in August. That’s right, in addition to the preview a portion of every book sold will also go to Pirate Christian Radio!
